About Me
I'm an interdisciplinary geoscientist and data scientist with degrees in both Geology and Computer Science, and registered as a P.Geo with PEGNL. My work bridges machine learning, NLP, and data engineering with economic geology — building the tools and workflows that help exploration teams make better decisions faster.
I'm have completed an MSc in Geology at the University of Saskatchewan under Dr. Bruce Eglington, with research focused on building a large-scale geological knowledge base using NLP and co-occurrence analysis.
Prior to founding SMCG Consulting, I served as Director of Geodata at Atha Energy, where I led enterprise geodata systems, ML targeting workflows, and spatial data infrastructure for a uranium exploration program.

I'm a member of the Digital Discovery team — a specialist geoscience consulting group focused on target generation at mine-to-regional scale, combining Mineral Systems Analysis, geomechanical modelling, and supervised machine learning. The team operates through GMEX and has delivered award-winning results across multiple international exploration challenges.

As part of the Digital Discovery team, developed machine learning targeting models for the Chelopech mine integrating anomaly detection, Mineral Systems Analysis, and geomechanical modelling to prioritize prospective zones across greenfield and brownfield areas.

A public platform for geological text mining and statistical modelling. Applies NLP, co-occurrence analysis, and entropy metrics to extract structured knowledge from over 18 million open-access scientific articles via the xDD database.
